Short Film Safari - Pre Vis Action

A few familiar faces can be found in this short from Gareth Evans, which is basically a showdown between warriors trying to get a scroll, each using different style weapons. It's brief but fun, and hopefully suggests something like this is being planned in feature length. Though I'm totally down for The Raid 3, it sure would be something.

Part Two - Daddy would've gotten us Uzis...

So coming down from all those eye gags and scenes of oozing madness, it's time to take a look at something a little different, where comedy is at the forefront and in some cases things are surprisingly tame for the horror genre. Of course this is often a genre which merges into the realm of sci-fi b-movie type stories, so you're always going to find a few cases where they focus on those aspects. But the main recurring factor here is mostly dumb laughs, silly dialogue and special effects that are all relatively bloodless.

Winter Horror-Thon 2016

Part One - Splatterhouse

That time of year has arrived once again, where we usher in the New Year by blocking out all that cold weather and proceed to warm the cockles of our hearts with a lot of grotesque violence and nightmare visions. What a selection there is to choose from, whether it's Italian gore or madcap visions of 80s America  there is never a short supply of features that include pouring blood, dissolving skin and eye popping effects.
